Scholarship Description:

Taiwan Ministry of Education Africa Elite Scholarship Program 2022 is open to African students. The scholarship enables master’s and doctoral programs in all subjects taught at Tamkang University, Yuan Ze University, National Taiwan Ocean University, National Dong Hwa University, National Tsing Hua University, National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University, National Taipei University of Technology, Taipei Medical University, National Taipei Health and Nursing University, Tunghai University, National Chengchi University, University Kaohsiung Medical School, National Cheng Kung University.

Taiwan’s Ministry of Education offers scholarships for African teachers (doctoral studies are prioritized) who wish to pursue master’s or doctoral studies in Taiwan. The main objective of this scholarship is to assist African nationals in their studies at a high level, as well as to expand the scope of academic exchange.

Taiwan Ministry of Education Africa Elite Scholarship Program 2022 is available for Masters and PhD programs at Tamkang University, Yuan Ze University, National Taiwan Ocean University, National Dong Hwa University, National Tsing Hua University, National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University, National Taipei University of Technology, Taipei Medical University, National Taipei University of Nursing and Health, Tunghai University, National Chengchi University, Kaohsiung Medical University, National Cheng Kung University.

Scholarship Benefits:

The scholarship provides a monthly stipend of NT$25,000 (R13, 247.09), which covers tuition and miscellaneous expenses (such as insurance, internet fees, dormitory accommodation).

Eligible Nationalities:

Africa.

Eligibility Criteria:

Must be employed as a lecturer in public or private universities or colleges in African countries.

Ineligible to apply:

  • Taiwanese citizen or Taiwanese student abroad;
  • A person who already has and continues to maintain student status at a university or senior college in Taiwan or a person who has studied in Taiwan as an exchange student or double major. This restriction does not apply to a student who will graduate and graduate that year. I can apply for a Taiwan scholarship to pursue higher education;
  • A person who has already studied in Taiwan for a degree of the same level as the one who intends to enroll;
  • A person who has had a scholarship from the Africa Elite Scholarship Program for more than three years;
  • A person who has received another scholarship or grant from an educational institution in Taiwan.
