rally in entrance of the Ministry of Schooling on Wednesday!

Within 3 weeks, colleagues of Kai Terada, a teacher from the Parisian region who was suspended for no reason on the day the school year began, mobilized against the repression directed against him. It is through the strike, rallies in front of the Rectorate, DSDEN, at rallies, in the Ags, by the strike fund, distribution of leaflets to the population, collages in 92, Internet petitions… interspersed with a decisive struggle for the reintegration of their colleague. But a struggle that is also meant to be the vanguard of a general movement against repression in education, as it echoes all the cases of repression in recent years in national education, deliberately directed against activists and the most recognized and militant colleagues who stood up with students. and parents of students are against Blanker’s reforms and increased authoritarianism in education.

Last Tuesday, more than 130 educators responded to the call of the Île-de-France in front of the DSDEN Hauts-de-Seine in Nanterre at the call of Kai’s colleagues, who came to reflect on the battle plan for his reintegration. Successive speeches denounced the deplorable situation in the sector and expressed broad solidarity in the face of the announcement of a possible “ transfer for the service Kai. The feeling of injustice in the face of such arbitrariness was at its height. The determination not to let go too!

Since then, solidarity has flourished in the schools. The number of photographs and offers of support from several institutions has increased. The launched petition even collected more than 5,500 signatures. This is a real militant dynamic that is building up and should continue to establish a balance of power capable of overturning a decision that certainly comes from the Ministry of Education.

If last Thursday 82 testimonies of colleagues in favor of Kai were put on the table of the DSDEN, the parents of the pupils of the institution also wrote a letter demanding the immediate reinstatement of the professor at work.

Apart from the solidarity of the collectives in educational institutions, which has yet to be expanded, it is through the strike of the whole sector and the connection with repression in other sectors that it will be possible to put an end to its repressive and arbitrary methods. which are the same everywhere. For example, the FERC CGT (CGT Federation of Education, Research and Culture) of higher education institutions supported Kai in this way:

A saving position that calls on others: in every sector, colleagues can be mobilized, support movements can be brought into their union.

Kai and his colleagues are calling for a demonstration this Wednesday, September 21 at 3:00 pm in front of the Ministry of National Education. Coming out of DSDEN, he stressed: that this day in front of the ministry should be against all repressions in national education, except for my case “.

In public education and everywhere there are the same methods against which we must fight.

In a period marked by inflation and wages that certainly won’t follow despite more than a token revaluation of 3%, crackdowns on those who dare to say no to the government are exacerbating the damage to working conditions that has continued methodically for years. Faced with a system that crushes everything that does not benefit it, there is an absolute need for collective mobilization with a real battle plan. In this sense, next week’s September 29 strike and demonstration day could also be a milestone in building this overall plan.
