CUC, a reference in the motor development of the child.

For three days, from September 28 to 30, the Hôtel de Région will offer conferences and round tables on the topic of “health sports” to club managers, players from the sports sector, health professionals and students.

Lo Clermont Université Club celebrates its 100th anniversary this year and is doing great things. Organized in club federations, CUC includes 12 sports: aikido, athletics, badminton, basketball, climbing, judo, rugby, tennis, Yoseikan budo, skiing, volleyball and the last one: roller skating, is being prepared.

It is also a sports-oriented recreation center that evolved from a multi-sport school established in 1985.

Therefore, this club knows very well the importance of sports, its physical, mental and social benefits.

From Wednesday September 28 to Friday September 30, the CUC organizes the Summer Sports University of the UNCU (National Union of French University Clubs) at the Hôtel de Région and organizes three days of conferences, debates and seminars: “an opportunity for sports-health, sports clubs ? »

This event was organized in cooperation with ONAPS, the French Physical Activity and Sedentary Observatory. All local authorities will be highlighted.

Sports and health have become the work of everyone, be they children, adults or retirees.

“We worked with Martine Duclos, head of the sports medicine department at the University Hospital, and David Thivel, specialist in nutritional adaptations to exercise in adolescents,” explains Vice President Thierry Olivier. So we can make a connection between our healthy exercise practice and family exercise or nutrition. We hope that it will be not only an intellectual laboratory, but also a sports training laboratory. “We have limited ourselves not only to university sports, but also to corporate sports.”

The need is strong, as participation in sports among children has declined year on year…

“In the evolution of the clubs, this concept has become a public utility, explains Thierry Olivier, vice president of the CUC. Reduced physical activity is a disaster. Society should mobilize people.”

The figures are heartening: 70-75% of women in France lead a sedentary lifestyle, and a seven-year-old child has lost a quarter of her heart capacity in 40 years.

Screen time and a sedentary lifestyle affect weight gain and overall health, as does sleep.

Like energy, sports and health should be one of the priorities for the coming years. With ASM Vitalité and Pauses assets in Clermont-Ferrand, ASM Omnisports is already a driving force in this field, and Vitalité will participate in debates such as A3P and CPAM 63.

During 3 days, conferences, debates and round tables on the topic of Sports-Health in France and Europe will be offered to club leaders, players of the sports sector, students, APAS teachers, health workers, elected officials, health and sports. referents of institutions and communities…

“Physical activity, inactivity, sedentary lifestyle… What are we talking about?” will be led by Martine Duclos. The history of Sport-Health, its influence on society, the cases of France and Europe, the extremes of practice: the other side of the coin… These are the topics that will be discussed and explained. Several seminars are planned: Prescribed sport, Maisons Sport-Santé, Sport-Health at work and Sport-Health and childhood. These three-day discussions should allow everyone, doctors, leaders, educators, to take the best of each other’s research and experiences to deepen things.

It is an event of a national dimension entrusted by UNCU (National Union of University Clubs of France) to CUC omnisports, the bearer of this torch of Sport-Health.
